The Country Outlet site was set up in 2006 to cater for a wider audience and was very successful to the point of us opening a new outlet at Pot House Hamlet in Silkstone near Barnsley. We are now in the process of having a new shop built at Cannon Hall, where it is anticipated that our range of country clothes will reach a much wider audience. In the meantime we are concentrating on expanding our internet sales and opperating from out of our warehouse, however, our phone number remains the same. This business will continue to be called  H & H Country Wear and only selling only Country Clothes and foot wear, read on to find information about the brands we stock.

Hoggs of Fife opened for business in 1888 making fine country footwear. Today, we offer the most authoritative range of country clothing and footwear, available from a single supplier, in Great Britain and Ireland. The company remains in founding family ownership and, throughout more than a century, has stayed true to its values of providing quality products that are fit for purpose and which represent great value for money. Ours is the only brand dedicated to the clothing and footwear needs of the agricultural community and country professionals at large. From there modern warehouse and office facilities in the Kingdom of Fife they maintain a full ‘instock’ service on all products.

There range naturally divides into three parts: Hunting & Shooting Wear under the Field Pro brand, Classic Country wear which is marketed under the Hoggs of Fife label and Workwear products which are branded Hoggs Professional.
Hunter Boots although Hunter is, in many ways, a traditional and old-fashioned company, they have also embraced the 21st Century and have welcomed the fact that there products are now worn by a much wider range of people and used for a much wider range of activities than during the 19th and 20th Centuries.
Hunter has also moved from being a Scottish company with a predominantly British clientele to being a truly global brand with a range of products which reveals the proud heritage of the company while also reflecting modern trends in style and fashion.
They take great pride in delivering top quality product and service to customers and markets around the world and a programme of continuous improvement ensures that they do not rest on our laurels. Indeed, not only are they constantly trying to improve upon there already great products, but we are also seeking out and designing new products to satisfy consumer demand.

The Weird Fish brand was born in 1993. They are a British company based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

All of the original Weird Fish designs, logos and graphics are produced by there in-house design studio.
In the early 1990’s it was still possible to manufacture our clothing in the U.K. but all of our production is now sourced in the Middle East or the Far East.

From an initial idea to produce tee-shirts and sweat-shirts with quirky prints, they have grown the range into around one hundred and fifty styles to include men’s, ladies and children’s clothing, accessories and footwear, but they always retain there unique Weird Fish style.

A brief history of the Harris Tweed jacket

'Harris Tweed' is made by crofters in their own homes in the Outer Hebrides Islands of Harris, Lewis, Uist and Barra off the Scottish coast and only material made on these Islands can be called 'Harris Tweed'.

An Act of Parliament in 1933 decreed that only  those living on the islands could claim to make, or use the name of' 'Harris Tweed'. Today it is still hand woven in their homes from 100% pure virgin wool, dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides.
